Abstract
New data on the morphology and distribution of two endemic crustacean species — the crab Dalatomon loxophrys (Kemp, 1923) and the shrimp Macrobrachium dalatense Nguyên, 2003 — discovered in the mountain streams of Vietnam’s Lâm Đồng Province are presented. A morphometric characterization based on a sample of 21 individuals is provided for D. loxophrys, revealing significant variability in carapace length and width, as well as animal weight. M. dalatense was recorded only at a single location near Hòa Bình Waterfall. The vulnerability of these populations due to their limited range and anthropogenic impact is discussed, along with proposed priority conservation measures.
